Midweek Teams
Undertake one training session in addition to the game, however our older Midweek girls (Under 18 & 23) usually do not train
Friday Teams
Do not train, so the time commitment is only to the game each week. (There are a very small number of Friday teams that do wish to train, at the discretion of the coach).
Saturday Teams
Undertake one training session each week in addition to the game.
Training times are fixed each season on the basis of 1 hour per team between 5.00pm and 10.00pm, usually Wednesdays or Thursdays, with a small number of teams training on Monday or Tuesday.
Training sessions are mostly held at Forest Hill Secondary College, but we also use Nunawading Christian College, Mullauna Secondary College, Orchard Grove Primary School and Vermont Sportslink.
The earlier time slots are allocated to younger teams and training is scheduled to accommodate girls' midweek playing times and coaches' commitments as priorities.
Efforts will be made to fit in with players' commitments, provided that these are advised with each season's registration. However, with over 500 players, some clashes will occur and a player may have to choose between basketball and another activity. Further, the Club has no control over playing times and venues - these are set by the Association with which we are affiliated.
