Explanation of the fee components:

1: Registration fees paid to Nunawading Kangas. These fees cover the Club costs including the costs of trophies, Club administration costs and Association registration fees.

2: Training fees paid to Nunawading Kangas.  These fees cover the cost of leasing training venues for our teams.

  • Friday teams do not usually train and so those players do not pay this fee.
  • For Friday teams that wish to train, players will be required to pay an additional fee to cover the cost of the training venue for the season.  This will be followed up by the Club at the beginning of the season.

3: Team Sheet Fees contribution. each team pays a `team sheet' fee per game to the Association.  Players from the team each pay a contribution towards these fees for the season.  The amount of the weekly "team sheet fee" is set by the Association and by venue owners to cover venue, competition and referee costs.  This season the Club will be collecting these contributions with registration and paying the fees on behalf of our teams, directly to the Association.

4: Basketball Victoria Participant Licence

Basketball Victoria charges an annual $29  for juniors ( 17 and under) or $43 for seniors.  These fees help cover the costs of managing the sport statewide, which includes the providing of services and insurance to participants, clubs and associations.

5: Basketball Austrialia Paticipant Fee (Game Development Levy) - new in 2024

$5 (plus GST) annual fee, collected by Basketball Australia - the revenue generated will play a pivotal role in sustaining the growth of basketball.
